14 July 2025 — AAP’s Follow-up Gets New Teacher for Bopodi School Bopodi, Pune:

Bopodi, Pune: Due to Aam Aadmi Party’s consistent follow-up, Patasibai Chhajed E-Learning English Medium School in Bopodi has finally received a new teacher after facing shortages since last year. Last year, 40 nursery students were promoted to Class 1, but lack of teachers forced 25 parents to withdraw admissions. Parents approached AAP, which raised the issue with the Pune Municipal Corporation. With a new teacher now appointed, several parents are planning to re-enroll their children. AAP leaders Annie Anish, Sheetal Kandelkar, Vikas Chavan, and Shankar Thorat, along with parents, had met PMC officials to press for action. AAP has further demanded that the PMC urgently provide adequate teachers in civic schools to ensure quality education for children from underprivileged families.

13 July 2025 — Pot the Potholes

On this day, we turned every pothole in our area into a pot of green by planting saplings. A symbolic step to demand safe roads and remind authorities of their duty! 🌱🛣

Nov 2023 — A Tale of Hope — Led by Anne Anish

When a young woman, Pinky (name changed), was fighting for her life with a severe infection, Anne Anish stepped in and turned fear into action. On a critical night, Anne mobilised Pune’s AAP members, doctors, and community leaders to secure urgent care when local resources fell short. With the support of Dr. Abhijit More, Dr. Abhijit Bagade, and the team at Ruby Hall Hospital, Anne coordinated Pinky’s transfer and ensured she was admitted without an upfront deposit. She also spearheaded a donation drive that raised over ₹6.5 lakhs, while arranging paperwork that qualified Pinky for treatment under the Indigent Patient Fund (IPF) — saving her family from unbearable financial stress. Thanks to Anne’s relentless effort and the kindness of many, Pinky moved from critical care to recovery. This story is a powerful reminder that one person’s determination can inspire a whole community to save a life. https://www.punekarnews.in/a-tale-of-hope-punes-aap-members-and-community-join-forces-to-save-a-life/
